Eating
At the Royal Oak we provide seasonally changing menus in both the bar and restaurant plus a specials board which changes on a daily basis.
In addition we have a lunchtime lighter menu with sandwiches and ploughman’s lunches.
Children are not forgotten and have their own menu or we are happy to provide smaller portions of many of our menu dishes.
From bread to ice-cream we endeavour to make everything ourselves on the premises and look to source our food locally and seasonally where possible.

Dairy produce, free range eggs and local cheeses - Cobley Farm, Crediton.
Meat and game – John May, Butchers, South Molton.
Fish and shellfish – Exe Valley Smokery and El Pescadero, Exford.
Drinking
We have a selection of real ales, lagers and ciders on tap. The lagers are cosmopolitan, ciders from the south west and Exmoor Ale and Exmoor Gold real ales from the local Exmoor Brewery and an additional weekly changing guest ale.
Our wine list has been carefully selected and supplied by Heritage Wines and we also have a selection of fine wines, champagnes and ports available by request.
Behind the bar we have a strong selection of malt whiskys, brandies and Armagnac.
